headquartered in Novi, Michigan, USA, is a division of OMRON Automotive
Electronic Components Company, Nagoya, Japan.
OMRON Automotive designs and manufactures a wide range of advanced electronic control units and sensors, including laser radar sensors, remote keyless entry systems and power window and sliding door anti-pinch controls. Other products include various ergonomic switch assemblies and PCB and plug-in relays. Supplying to the automotive OEM's and Tier 1's, the division has 700 employees in North America with one manufacturing facility in the U.S. and two in Canada. Sales for the2002 fiscal year were $185 million.

When OMRON was in Farmington Hills preparing for our move to a new building in Novi, Transcom laid out a plan to upgrade our existing Nortel system from analog lines to a digital ISDN PRI line.
This allowed us to take advantage of Direct Inward Dialing, Caller I.D. and the clarity of digital lines over analog lines.
Transcom's expertise allowed us to do this with our existing system by upgrading the software and adding a digital T1 card.
This saved us thousands of dollars vs. buying a new system and still allowed us to take advantage of the latest technology.
Before the move we contracted Transcom to completely cable our new facility for voice and data. This involved 70 locations within the building. Everything went as planned providing for a smooth transition for the move.
It is nice to have one vendor to call when we have issues with our telephone system or simply need additions to our network infrastructure.
For efficient, timely service we recommend Transcom. We feel that Glenn Yurik and his staff are knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with.
